Big Responsibilities
My sister is getting married soon and she has asked me to help. I was honoured to be asked but she has given me some tricky jobs. She knows that I am crafty so she has asked me to design the wedding invites as well as make them myself once she has approved them. I do a bit of card making but this is a tall order especially as I know how very fussy she is about every detail being perfect. I know that if one invite is not identical to the rest, one is not cut exactly straight or the wording is not completely perfect, then she will make me do them again. I am happy for the challenge but pretty nervous as well. Once the invited have gone out, I will have to start thinking about the next job she wants me to which is the flowers. I have done a flower arranging course and she has asked me to make the button holes, table decorations and the wedding bouquet. This is a massive responsibility because it will be in lots of photographs, compliment her dress and will need to work with the bridesmaids outfits as well. I have already started buying lots of bride’s magazines for ideas and I just hope that I can come up with something which she likes and I am capable of reproducing on the day.
